After rejecting a marriage proposal from a Pakistani girl died after suitor set in fire, a doctor said.
20 years old Sonia Bibi, was admitted to hospital last month, where she told police that her former lover had doused her with petrol and set her alight after she turned down his proposal. Bibi is from remote village of Multan district in central Punjab province.
Multan’s Nishtar hospital told AFP news agency that Bibi’s injuries had become infected so she d!*ed on Tuesday morning. Her body had been burn about 45-50 per cent said, Dr. Naheed Chaudhary, the head of hospital of burns department.
According to police, she had fallen out of love with her lover, and preliminary investigations suggested he had set her on fire “after she refused to marry him”.
