Issuing a press release on Tuesday, the Embassy said the comments are “provocative, baseless and ill-intentioned” and have the potential to affect cordial India-Nepal relations.
Condemning the Minister’s comments, the statement urges all to refrain from making any comments that could negatively affect age-old relations between the two countries.
Minister Mandal had alleged in a press meet in Biratnagar on Monday there was a threat of Indian armies entering Nepal in the political context of post-constitution promulgation.
