Kamal Thapa made 4 points agreement in Delhi


Major 3 political parties of Nepal on Thursday decided to forward the constitution amendment bill only after securing the consent of agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF).

After visiting India second time Nepal's Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa today said he had a "fruitful" discussion with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to end the blockade of border trade points by Indian-origin Madhesis and the talks helped in clearing existing "misunderstandings" between the two nations. India once again told Nepal that obstructions in supplies across the Indo-Nepal border could not be resolved without political resolution of the internal problems. In her meeting with Nepal’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa in New Delhi today, Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj said there was no any hindrance to supplies from the Indian side. She maintained that Nepal needed to normalise the political situation of the nation at the earliest so as to ensure smooth supplies across the border. According to MEA India spokesperson Vikas Swarup, Swaraj also reiterated the need for urgent political solution to the political problems facing Nepal currently.
