Himalaya Airlines’ first Airbus 320-214

Himalaya Airlines’ first Airbus 320-214 landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Wednesday. The newly delivered airliner -- with the registration number 9N-ALM -- received a water cannon salute after landing. Himalaya Airlines is a Nepal-China joint venture airline company. Nepali companies -- HIF Aviation Investment Company Pvt Ltd and Yeti World Investment Pvt Ltd -- jointly hold a 51 percent stake in Himalaya Airlines and 49 percent of the shares are owned by Tibet Airlines. According to officials of Himalaya Airlines, the aircraft was delivered at TIA from Chengdu in China.
As per a statement issued by the airline, the aircraft was welcomed at TIA in the presence of Himalaya Airlines President Cheng Hui, its Vice President (Administration) Vijay Shrestha and captain Jatinder Pal Singh Dhillon, the vice-president of operations.
