According tothe spokesperson of Home Ministry Laxmi Prasad Dhakal, the government is doing its best to smoothen the supply of the petroleum products at the earliest. Dhakal further said that the government has also requested to refrain from unnecessary usage of the petroleum products to cope with the fuel shortage.
“The decision is applicable to every other vehicle with an exception on vehicles used from most important services, vehicles of security councils and vehicles operated for patrolling. Indulging in creating scarcity and performing black-market on petroleum products will be liable for stern punishment,” said Dhakal.
The duty of investigation upon the fair use of petroleum products has been bestowed to Nepal Police and Transport Management Office.
