The movie has got actress Rekha Thapa and actors Kishor Katiwada and Subash Thapa in lead role along with other artist Bigyan Joshi, Siru Bista. Ramesh Adhikari, Bhabu Lamsal Khusbu Khadka and others. The movie has got Uttam KC, Khishor Bhandari, Pasang T Sherpa, Krishna Bhakta Maharjan as guest artists. Also Tej Shree and Shahil Maharjan can be seen in the movie as child artist. The music for the movie was composed by Basanta Sapkota. The story of the movie was written by director Shbir Shrestha who has also produced the movie. The movie was highly publicized as the women centric movie or movie which talk about feminism starring the famous actress of Nepali Movie industry Rekha Thapa. The Censor Board of Nepal rated the movie by Kites entertainment as ‘U’, universal movie. This movie was released on January 9 2015. The story of the movie is plot with the story about a woman Basanti who gets abused by her husband. The movie shows the domestic violence and marital r@pe which has not been spoken up in our society. Kamal, husband of Basanti is plot as powerful and dominant political figure who inside is an abuser who abuse his own wife $exu@lly and mentally before and after the marriage. Basanti cant hold the violence and fake the de@th. But when kamal find it out that she is alive she is being force to come with him. The movie ‘Tathastu’ is about the struggle and f!ght of Basanti against her abusive husband. As far as the review to the movie Rekha and Subash for their role as Basanti and Kamal has given justice to their role with their brilliant acting skill.
